Turning the Tables on Trinity Foundation
Hey, Ole, is that a mote or a beam in your eye?
By Glenna Whitley
Published: November 22, 2007
Ole's at it again.
Ole Anthony and his cohort at the Trinity Foundation are behind Senator Charles Grassley's current investigation of six prominent televangelists. As a ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, Grassley has sent letters to Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Paula White, Joyce Meyer, Bishop Eddie Long and Creflo Dollar demanding answers to detailed questions about their expenditures, financial practices, credit card statements and other personal information going back years. Anthony told reporters the Trinity Foundation gave Grassley enough material "to fill a Volkswagen."
Former Ole-ites contacted the Dallas Observer to point out that, in fairness, Grassley should ask Anthony the same questions. The media watchdog demands transparency of other ministries, but the foundation, they say, has had its own serious financial problems. ( See "The Cult of Ole," August 3, 2006)
"What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander," says Doug Duncan, once Anthony's right-hand man. Wendy Duncan, his wife and also a former member, is the author of I Can't Hear God Anymore, a book that describes the Trinity Foundation as a cult.
Doug Duncan describes Trinity's most egregious financial transgression as defaulting on $42 million in tax-exempt revenue bonds issued in 1998 for the organization's purchase of 13 apartment complexes in Oklahoma City.
Issued by the Oklahoma County Finance Authority, the bonds were available to Trinity because it was a charitable organization with the stated mission of helping the homeless.
"It was a federal project, underwritten by the government," says Duncan. "This is public money being misused."
The acquisition of 2,045 apartments was ballyhooed as part of Trinity's "Dallas Project" to help the homeless and poor, but from the beginning there were questions about Trinity's ability to service the debt.
"If I were buying the bonds, it would be the first thing I'd wonder," Bryan Krizek, executive director of Christian Relief Services, told the Oklahoma City Journal Record at the time. "That's very strange that an organization of so little experience is involved in a bond deal of this size."
A Canadian-based real estate company filed a lawsuit to stop the sale, saying it already had a deal to buy the complexes. "They're a bunch of Canadian carpet-baggers," Anthony told the Journal Record. "They're trying to stop some charitable work here."
But the deal was less about charity than Anthony's need to have a national platform, Duncan says.
"It was just Ole's way of getting into the public eye," Duncan says. "It put Trinity in charge of millions of dollars worth of property. We'd be landlords with a heart, and we wouldn't evict people. That's a lot of power and influence."
Duncan describes Anthony as so anxious to get the deal done he "scammed his own board of directors." A lawyer and an accountant who worked with Trinity examined the deal and expressed reservations, says Duncan, who was on the board at the time. "But Ole told them not to say anything negative to the board because Ole wanted to do it. If the lawyer and the accountant said this is a bad idea, the board might have gone against it."
After the deal was completed, Trinity members discovered the apartments needed extensive remodeling. They'd paid an inflated price and didn't have enough funds to rehab the complexes.
Trinity defaulted on the bonds in 2000. According to The Bond Buyer, a trade publication, Trinity officials told the management company it hired to divert rents from the project to Trinity's accounts instead of depositing the money into the revenue fund as required.
In April 2000, though Trinity hadn't made payments on the debt for the previous two months, Anthony boasted about the project's success in an op-ed piece for The Dallas Morning News, calling it a "groundbreaking method for allowing faith groups and other nonprofit organizations to provide for the needy and homeless."
In June 2000, The Door magazine, published by Trinity, proclaimed that "the Oklahoma City project was so successful the foundation was offered 160 units in Dayton, Ohio, and they again challenged churches to minister to the residents." (It's not clear if the foundation is still running the smaller Dayton project; Trinity Foundation didn't reply to questions sent via e-mail. John Rutledge, an elder with Trinity, e-mailed to say they needed at least a month to prepare all the material requested.)
Internally Anthony finally acknowledged the project's failure, but little was said to Trinity supporters. The only people who made money on the deal were those who received fees by persuading Anthony to dive into the project.
Samples of additional financial questions suggested by former Trinity members:
"How much of members' tithes and offerings and other donations have been spent for Ole Anthony's pain medications for the last 20 years?
"Please provide the credit card statements for all credit cards used by Ole Anthony from 1987 to 2007.
"How much does the foundation pay annually to rent properties from its directors?
"The 2005 tax statement indicates that $40,306 dollars were expended for 'management expenses.' What are these expenses and who received these funds?
"Were the trips, cruises and vacations given to Anthony by ABC News and others ever reported as income?
"The 2005 tax statement indicates approximately $40,000 paid in utilities. Is the foundation using tax-exempt donations to pay utility bills of the homes of its elders and directors?
"When was the last certified audit done of Trinity Foundation?"

Previous attempts to contact the Copelands, failed repeatedly. Methods including, mail, fax, e-mail, and hand delivery to EMIC by myself, were all wasted time. Hopefully by sharing this letter, someone will help with delivery this time. If not I would appreciate a list of any email, fax, or address anyone may provide for me to send this letter myself. Our thanks go to all.
Family of Bonnie Parker
Kenneth and Gloria Copeland
Before knowledge of, KCM, BVOV, GLORIA’S HEALING SCHOOL, and EMIC, our lives were simple, whole, and complete. Sunday morning church services conducted at our small country church, Shady Grove. Faith had no mathematical values, you was never told you had to little, or to much. Sickness was not blamed on lack of faith, nor finances. Rewording, or falsifying bible verses, well, before our knowledge of prosperity gospel (materialistic Christian belief: the doctrine taught in some Christian groups that God will grant wishes to the faithful, especially those wishes involving material wealth
Encarta ® World English Dictionary), this philosophy was unheard of! Tithes received during collection, were used for the upkeep of our church, parsonage, and cemetery. Before either of you, I had a mother, and a belief in God I never questioned, for there was no reason to. My personal thanks goes out to both you and Gloria, prosperity gospel truly is a life changing experience!
The last few day’s has brought with them many new revelations, as I’m sure both of you are aware of. The first time I tried to contact (BVOV) was back in 2004, a few months after the death of my mother (Bonnie Parker) who was a long time partner of your ministry, since 1995 to be exact. That’s a lot of faithful years is it not. Seems as though that should have meant something. I’ve learned a lot, and lost a lot, which I credit mostly to your ministry. Very surprisingly I did find something, that I agree with both of you on, knowledge. What began as a simple request for answers, is now national news. All I wanted was to simply meet with either of you, I felt you held the answers to the hell our lives had become. Even though I made many efforts to contact you, none of them were successful. I was left to draw my own conclusion of where your heart truly lie. Even worse, was that I felt neither of you had any remorse for your actions. The reality of why you never answered, was becoming clear on my TV screen and lap top. I am no longer the only one requesting answers, you now have the whole United States of America awaiting to see how this investigation unfolds, during the days following the new developments where hard because they really hit home for me. In February of this year WFAA News in Dallas broadcasted the findings of a investigation (by Brett Shipp) regarding the misuse of the ministry’s jet. After that news broadcast aired, I began relying on there website WWW.WFAA.COM for any new developments, or some kind of comment from you all. There broadcast received the same response that I have come to received over the years, no response at all or you just said no comment. A filmmaker from New Zealand (Trever Glass) filmed a Documentary(Suffer the Children which you can find at www.sufferthechildren.com )on the misuse, and abuse of religious funds donated to these mega churches, including yours. My mothers story, was one of the many that is detailed on this film, which also received no response from you. The point I am trying to make is: If you are innocent of these accusations, why aren’t either of you trying to defend yourselves, your ministry, or your lifestyles? Your silence is only proving your guilt! Then when you are caught off guard by the media, WFAA news, (you may view this on there web site), and are questioned about the misuse of the ministry’s jet, your comment was ”None of Your Business” . Do either of you have the courage to look me in the eyes and say that to me? The cost we paid for that jet can never be repaid. Expenses that accrued during and after moms illness, left us with no choice but to take out a loan on our house, which was paid in full at the beginning of 2004. This was all to much for us to handle, we have struggled to make the note the last few years, but we can’t last much longer. So we are basically still paying for that jet, and the joyrides both of you take on it. When mom gave her life for your ministry, and now possibly our home will be lost also, I believe that gave us a right to know where the money goes. We did request a accounting of all mom’s contributions, several times but yet again no response was given. Are either of you, seeing the pattern here? Then a day or so later you were caught off guard once again, you were asked by WFAA News(which can also be found on there website) if you personally opened the mail from your Partners. Your reply was yes, you did pray over some of it but not all. Former employees of Eagle Mountain Church, say the opposite. (Also on WFAA website) The facts are telling us a different story. But that isn’t surprising, just heartbreaking. Witnesses,
ex employees state either of you had no personal contact with the prayer requests. Letters addressed to both of you, from people poring their heart out, were opened, ( not by either of you ) money was taken out, then prayed over by employees of Eagle Mountain Church. Maybe if either of you would have took a few moments of your precious time to open a few of these requests, things might not be falling apart now. Oh sorry, I almost forgot, forgive me, (no willing response yet), hint, hint. Still not seeing the pattern? God knows we all, even both of you, make mistakes in life. The difference between both of you and us, is plane as day, we know wrong from right! The good hearted, and the sincere, try to make amends for their mistakes, and are most likely forgiven, on earth and in heaven. It’s never to late to start this process. I on the other hand, will never be able to forgive, nor forget. We never asked to become involved with either of you, or your false, and dangerous ministry! Unwillingly, and unfortunately our lives crossed paths with the death of my mother, I can’t change that, but I wish I could! Our losses have been great, my mother, our faith, other losses detailed in the following pages, and now maybe even our home.
I wanted you to be their by her grave, when the time came to tell mom the truth about who you both truly are. Like that was ever a possibility. She deserves to know the truth, no matter where she is. But fortunately for both of you, I took my tape recorder, so don’t worry yourselves with the guilt of not being able to attend. Someday if you ever get the courage to finally face me, I will play it for you both. I know she is not there in that grave, but I feel she can hear me.! Her last few day’s she requested I visit , and talk to her as often as possible. She said even though she will forever go unseen by my eyes, she will always live in our harts, until the day we are together once more. She spoke as if there was something she knew, and I did not know. The drive to her resting place, takes about twenty minutes, today it seemed to take hours. I stopped just a few feet away from her grave, parked my truck and began gathering things I had brought to show, and read to her. One hand filled with flowers(Roses her favorite), and the other a binder with hundreds of papers. I placed the flowers in a vase, sat down on the ground beside her grave and began.
Recording begins…
Hello, my guardian angel. This isn’t one of my normal visits when usually I tell you everything that you have missed since the last time I was here, This visit is dedicated to you and you only. I am now able to tell you the reason why I am distant when I’m here by your side. The guilt I have carried for over two years has been lifted greatly, so I can breath a lot better now. You would hold me tight and tell me none of this was my fault if you were able to. Until a few day’s ago, those words would have meant nothing. We were so close, and I miss that so much! When you left you took a part of our hearts with you! I blamed you, and myself only for the horrific way your life ended, and for that I am so sorry. Anger and fear consumed many other feeling I had back then, that is one of my deepest regrets now that I know the truth.. Then I knew very little about what your life was like, therefore I could not understand, (and thought I never would), why you hurt yourself, and us so deeply. There were times I was scared I would never know the truth, but then as if you had left us a sign pointing us in the direction of the answers we desperately longed far. Answers that came in the form of a written biography of your life, or that’s what I called the numerous pages of thoughts, prayers, unfamiliar doctrines, and also the pleas you made for your life. How did this happen to you? What made you make that decision to give your life to them, to trust these strangers unconditionally. I had no idea the answer to those question two years ago, but now I do. You fell into a web of lies and deceit that was wrapped up in a package that most could not resist. Promises, of healing, and wealth were being sold to the highest bidder, the more you gave the more you got. Sadly you among others paid the ultimate price. There are very few that could endure the pain and suffering you lived with day after day, the faith you had was so incredible. The statements made by you, ”I didn’t have enough Faith”, or “I didn’t sow enough seed”, was so far from the truth. Not long after I began putting together the huge puzzle you left us, I had very little hope of ever getting justice for you or us. I wanted to protect as many as I could from the fate you suffered. It felt as if I were fighting a battle I had no chance of winning. I had over ten years of proof linking you to the Copelands, and this proof seemed to make no difference. I know they were not what they seem to be, that was clear, but sending this message to the millions of victims(Partners) seemed impossible. You had gave me the proof, now I had to somehow make it known. Research led me to several people I hold so dear to my heart now, Mr. Pete Evens and Mr. Oley Anthony, both of the Trinity foundation located in Dallas. I wish you could have met them, and them you. I more or less turned all you had left over to them, and they took it from there. A documentary was done about you, and others that have fell pray to this proven deadly religion. There is so much you didn’t know mom, there is a very dark side to this doctrine, that you were unaware of, as well as others. Now a spotlight has been placed on them, and the future of the Copelands is looking very dim. To this day, after many attempts they still will not meet with me. My letters as well as yours went unanswered, they were opened by people paid to do a job, a job meant for the Copelands. I know that for sure now. You where everything to us, and nothing but a check to them. They didn’t even know who you were, but I assure you they do now! Maybe this chapter of my life, will be better than the last. The saying the “Truth will set you free“, is so very true. I will all ways love you, mom!!!!!!
Kris
The following is a letter was written by my daughter, which was nine when mom passed away. I did not encourage her to do this, she insisted. Mom entrusted her with portions of her involvement regarding both of you. She is just beginning to talk more about the secrets mom kept hidden away from all but her apparently. I have not questioned her about her relationship with mom, I simply let her talk about her memories, when she feels ready. The relationship mom and sissy(nickname), shared was like mine and my mothers. Why mom reviled things to her only, I guess will remain a mystery. Why her and not me, was it the fact she was just a child? When she speaks of listening to your material over and over, it just adds to the many questions we have that you will not answer. Have these dangerous twisted words been implanted in her head also? The thought of this scares me to death. She as well as us suffered a terrible loss, but her more so. During the time mom was in the nursing home, most of our time was spent by her side. Even though she was just a few miles away from my home, we were not letting her be alone at all. I hired sitters to stay with her even when we were there, merely walking out of her room scared her. The staff at the home was kind, and tried filling her every need. Each one took her into there hearts, and visversa. We turned to family and friends to help keep our lives going outside the nursing home, which also turned out to be devastating. Christians step grandfather took advantage of what was already a bad situation, by putting his filthy hands on my child(sissy). He pleaded guilty, and is being punished for his actions! My point of telling you this is once again, letting you know just how much we have suffered. Had all our attention not been on mom, this surely could have been prevented!!!! Unbelievable that’s still not the end either. My brother Todd felt drugs would help him through all this hell, he was picked up for simple possession in September of 2004.To this day he still can’t talk about, or deal with the memories of her, bottles of whiskey took the place of drugs. Loosing him is now a huge possibility. Will it ever end?????
Granddaughter of Bonnie Parker
Christian Beach
12 years old
Dear Kenneth and Gloria Copeland,
If you don’t all ready know me I’m Christian Beach granddaughter of Bonnie Parker. The girl who had to watch her grandmother go threw so much pain for her trust in god through you. You didn’t help her by telling her not to go to the doctor. No you told her that the doctor was the work of the devil. Yes I remember some of the stuff from your shows and CD’s. My grandmother would put so much of her money in to checks and some as just cash, so much in fact that I can’t even recall exact amounts. How exactly much does your healing cost, because my grandmother paid with her money and her life? I watch your shows, listened to your CD’s at the same time watched my grandmother slowly and painfully be killed by your word not God’s word your word!!! You can do what you want and say what you want but you can never be forgiven by me or my family for what you did to us. Don’t want the money she sent you back. I just want you to feel the pain that I have felt day after day since she died. How does it make you feel to take a nine year olds grandmother from her? Now the next time you are taking money out of letters and not even reading the at all, think of what you have done to our family by not reading my grandmothers!!! So the next your are flying around in your $20000000 JET, That my grandmother paid with her life!!!
Love,
Christian Beach
If our words finally reach you, we would all be grateful if you could find it in your hearts to help us save our home our home. Foreclosure sell date is Nov. 28,2007. Payment of $5000.00 dollars sent to HSBC located in Florida, will allow us to stop these procedures, and HSBC to reconstruct our loan . HSBC phone # 813-571-8400 ext 47149 Richard Healey Acc# 0011494077 fax # is 813-261-4488. We have the funds to pay this amount, but it will leave us with nothing for only God knows how long. It’s a hard choice to make, food, lights, water, Christmas for the kid’s, or save our home. This is pocket change for either of you!!! After telling you of our losses, and how they involve you both this simple request is the least you could do!!!!!!!!! Please.
Compelling Cases
Televangelist Victims
Bonnie Parker, deceased at age 59. Her daughter Kristy Parker Beach reported the abuse. This particularly beloved grandmother had heard the “seed faith” theology over and over throughout the nineties as she developed very treatable breast cancer. Her handwritten notes show how she privately repeated the “name-it and claim-it” mantras she was taught by these televangelists (in this case, mainly Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn to a much lesser degree). She enlisted her granddaughter to help write return letters when she became too ill to write. The granddaughter says these return letters to Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM) were usually stuffed with many hundred dollar bills—as much money as the grandmother could get her hands on. All the while, she refused any normal medical care or treatments much to her family’s dismay. She refused again and again to go and find out what was wrong. Her family begged and pleaded with her to get medical help. They couldn’t imagine why she was acting this way. Shortly before her death she mentioned to her puzzled daughter that she hadn’t planted enough “seed”. When the family finally found the grandmother’s notes, cassette tapes, and hoarded letters from the televangelists, they realized she had tragically believed this money-gathering-gimmick all the way to the grave. The woman’s notes also indicate it would have been a breach of faith to seek medical help. In other words it would have contradicted the message she was receiving from the televangelists, specifically from the Copeland’s ministry, if she were to go see a doctor. From her notes it’s easy to see that Bonnie fully believed Ken and Gloria’s teachings that she could speak her healing into existence.
In a taped conversation from the nursing home during the last few days of her life, Bonnie tells Kristy, “I sowed my seed. I sowed my seed… it wasn’t true, I sowed.” Kristy responds, “What do you mean Mom? I don’t understand, please calm down. I’m right here. I’m not going to leave you.” Kristy says a few more words and hums to calm Bonnie down. Bonnie responds, “One more kiss please. I want to tell you why, they promised me, I wouldn’t have to leave. Don’t cry baby, mama’s here.” Also on the tape Bonnie explains to Kristy why she could not go to the doctor. Bonnie was convinced that God had told her not to go to the doctor. It wasn’t until later, when the family was looking through all the Copeland literature and personal writings she had kept that they realized she had been convinced of this by Gloria and Kenneth Copeland’s teachings.
In a long letter from Kristy to Ken and Gloria Copeland, she pours out her heart about all that happened to her mother as she slowly died while believing in their prosperity gospel teachings. Kristy lives in Wisner, Louisiana and can be reached at her email address, southernsoil_6327@yahoo.com, at cell phones 318-789-7569 or 318-789-7567, or home phone 318-724-7914. During the time period that Bonnie was stuffing envelopes with hundred dollar bills and sending them to KCM, the ministry built a huge mansion for Ken and Gloria, built another mansion for John Copeland, purchased a twenty million dollar jet, more jets and airplanes based at their own airport, built up their Copeland Cattle Company, added oil and gas holdings, and acquired a racing boat, etc., etc., etc.
Kristy Beach has requested an accounting of her mother’s donations from the ministry.
.
Proof of request for the accounting of moms contrabutions.
Dear Kenneth and Gloria Copeland,
Shortly before my wife Bonnie Lynn Parker passed away, she assigned complete power of attorney to me. Both the power of attorney and her death certificate are enclosed herein. The immediate surviving family members are myself, my son Alvin Todd Parker, and my daughter Kristy Parker Beach, who you have met.
Please send us a record of any and all donations, contributions, investments, and/or any money or items she has sent the Kenneth Copeland Ministry, a d/b/a for Eagle Mountain International Church, Inc. We also request a copy of any and all of Bonnie’s correspondence with the ministry. This would include any notes, letters, emails, and/or phone calls to or from the ministry.
Please note that I have chosen Kristy Parker Beach to act on our behalf in this matter, when my signature is not required. Your lack of cooperation with my daughter has only caused more grief. We hope you will comply with this request in order to avoid any legal action necessary to obtain these documents.
Sincerely,
Alvin Parker

Kristy, I am so sorry about your mother. I don't know anything about the Copelands, but I think the point of the article, "Turning the Tables on Trinity Foundation," is that the man behind the investigations of the televangelists has some answering to do also.
This is a perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black. Ole Anthony's followers gave money to him and his Trinity Foundation and would like answers too!!
Specifically,
Why did Ole Anthony take on a 42 million dollar project using tax supported dollars when it was clear that he did not have the infrastructure or skills to handle it?
Were the trips, cruises, and vacations given to Ole by ABC News and others reported as income? Were his followers aware that he received these gifts?
How much does the foundation pay annually to rent properties from its directors? How much is the foundation using in its members' gifts and offerings to pay the utility bils of the homes of its elders and directors?
Etc. Etc.
And I bet Wendy Duncan who wrote the book about Ole, I Can't Hear God Anymore: Life in a Dallas Cult," would like to get the money back that she gave to Ole Anthony while she was a member! Maybe she can use your attorneys.

Kristy, I am so sorry about your mother. I don't know anything about the Copelands, but I think the point of the article, "Turning the Tables on Trinity Foundation," is that the man behind the investigations of the televangelists has some answering to do also.

I don't care if Ole Anthony works for Satan himself, he has done an excellent job of exposing these televangelist pimps. You didn't think they'd expose each other did you? The decent and good preachers don't have a huge audience like the pimps do on TBN and DayStar and the God channel. Ole Anthony has been very successful at providing information to the authorities. People will always try to get even...I don't care....Ole Anthony is a hero in my book!
These televangelists fleece the poor, widows and orphans of their little money. They get on TBN begging for money telling people that if they send in $1000 God is gonna heal their sick child, or heal their marriage, or give them a financial miracle. That's fraud! When it doesn't happen, the person is told the didn't have enough faith, they have hidden sin, or they didn't "sow" enough! Fraud in the first degree!!
These televangelists are the wolves in sheep's clothing we were warned about all over the New Testament. No one is getting rich but these televangelist pimps! They are not men/women of God...they are of their father the devil!
If the prosperity gospel works, then where is your: private $20 million jet, seaside mansions, 8000 acre ranches, body guards (why do you need body guards to go to church?) designer clothes, Bentley's, Hummers, Rolls Royces, plastic surgery, box office seats at games, expensive golf country clubs, Cartier watches, Armani suits, dream vacations, vacation homes and lake houses, etc.
Give to the poor organizations in your community.
Give to the BAttered Women's Shelter.
Like Paul taught: "give as your purpose in your heart" and "give cheerfully."
(2 Cor 9:7)
Keep your money! Tithing is Old TEstament law of Moses, Jesus fulfilled that law. Jesus wants your heart and life...your 100% not just 10%.

On judgment day, what will you say to God when he asks you why you spent your money on televangelists who you know are pocketing the money and didn't help the poor.

With all due respect, BoycottTBN, I think it IS relevant whether or not Ole works for Satan himself. It has always been a bit of a question in my mind. I think that the following, an excerpt of a dialogue among Thomas More, his daughter and her suitor, William Roper, as set forth in Robert Bolt's two-act play, A Man For All Seasons, kind of address Ole's (and yours, apparently) willingness to take an "ends-justifies-the-means" approach to prosecuting the televangelists. (I copied this off of publicdefender.com)
More There is no law against that.
Roper There is! God's law!
More Then God can arrest him.
Roper Sophistication upon sophistication.
More No, sheer simplicity. The law, Roper, the law. I know what's legal not what's right. And I'll stick to what's legal.
Roper Then you set man's law above God's!
More No, far below; but let me draw your attention to a fact - I'm not God. The currents and eddies of right and wrong, which you find such plain sailing, I can't navigate. I'm no
voyager. But in the thickets of the law, oh, there I'm a forrester. I doubt if there's a man
alive who could follow me there, thank God....
Alice While you talk, he's gone!
More And go he should, if he was the Devil himself, until he broke the law!
Roper So now you'd give the Devil benefit of law!
More Yes. What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?
Roper I'd cut down every law in England to do that!
More Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned round on you - where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country's planted thick with laws from coast to coast - man's laws, not God's - and if you cut them down - and you're just the man to do it - d'you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake.
Roper I have long suspected this, this is the golden calf; the law's your god!
More Oh, Roper, you're a fool, God's my god....But I find him rather too subtle....I don't know where He is or what He wants.
Roper My God wants service, to the end and unremitting; nothing else!
More Are you sure that's God? He sounds like Moloch. But indeed it may be God - And whoever hunts for me, Roper, God or Devil, will find me hiding in the thickets of the law! And I'll hide my daughter with me! Not hoist her up the mainmast of your seagoing principles! They put about too nimbly!

You are a one note journalist, and the note is sour. These Duncans that you keep forcing down our throats as the reason we should not trust Ole Anthony is lame, pathetic and misleading.
This, I assume is the same family that blames Ole Anthony for the fact that their daughter can NOT PLAY THE PIANO. The only thing more absurd would be to say that John Kerry was not in Viet Nam...oh yeah, that's right anothe claim of yours.
You really must be one of those illusional delusionist who can't see past her own nose.
BTW....Didn't some conservative organization purchase all those books that you wrote? Didn't they get pathetic reviews and were bought up by a gentleman named Pickens.
Anyway, I admire the people that know the devil when they see him, and notice the devils protector when they see her.
If a democrat gets in office, you and your other religious groupies who pride themselves in ripping off the elderly and protecting those who shine a light on the truth, might find themselves fishing upstream.
While fearmongering has worked well in making several people rich..from Halliburton to Joel Osteem and Roberta Tilton (the ultimate nutjob) it won't work when the truth is revealed.
I assume since the Duncans have put out a book that I understand has sold almost 15 copies, they should have the money to teach their daughter to play Chopin by now.
I wonder if I can blame Ole Anthony on my lack of gymnastic skills. Come to think of it, I bet it is his fault I am gay.

I think it is High Time that men of God STAND UP and speak the truth in love in response to what the Bible says about proper Christian conduct and how a Man of God should be an example to the Church and the unbeliever.First of all I believe the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the Son of God,That Jesus was born of a Virgin,That Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to provide redemption from sin,and that Jesus rose on the 3rd. day.And I also believe that Jesus Christ is THE ONLY WAY in which a man can find Salvation and eternal life and apart from faith in Jesus Christ men will be judged by God who is Holy to an eternity in Hell for their wickedness and sin.I also believe what the Lord said in
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Only those who are Born Again will be saved form God's wrath and eternal torment in hell.
Secondly the Bible clearly states that we are to consider all things by the Word of God so that we know how the Man of God should conduct himself. And the word of God says in 2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
And the word of truth is what we are to use to conduct our lifes. And if one studies God word they will find In 2nd Timothy 3:16-17:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Gods word is profitable for many wonderful things and here in particular 4 Things. 1-For doctrine 2-For reproof 3-For correction 4-For instruction in righteousness
And these 4 Things are provided by God to us for a reason because without sound doctrine, without reproof, without correction and without instruction in rightousness
Then v:17 would not be correct which says:
17: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
So when some suggest that someone is judging by agreeing with what Senator Grassley is bringing out in the open about these Pastors lifestyles. It has been reported in the US press that some of these 6 ministries Pastors under public scrunity that they fly in Cessana Jets, drive Rolls Royces and Bentley Convertables, live in Mansions worth from 2 Million Dollars up to 10 Million Dollars, stay in Presidentalial Suites for a sum of one Thousand Dollars up to Ten Thousand Dollars a night. One of these 6 Pastors when asked on CNN IF THEY BELIEVED JESUS WOULD AGREE TO THEM HAVING A ROLLS ROYCE? HE SAID "YES Jesus would agree"
So when we look at what is taking place with Senator Grassley,s requested inquiry on ministries such as Benny Hinn,Keneth Copeland,Crefflo Dollar Joyce Myers and others and in light of the scandal at Oral Roberts University where as even the President Richard Roberts resigned on Friday after his accountant informed the world that he was instructed to "cook the books" by Richard Roberts himself and the accountant was Fired.
And when you take into account that these 6 ministries teach false teachings that I Quote.."We are all little gods" and that we have the power to create through our words, and the Properity Gospel.Perhaps one is being judgemental if you think that Doctrine Reproof,Correction and Instruction in Rightousness is not an appropiate measure to be guided by not only in these 6 Pastors ministries but in any Christian ministries. And let me ask have you really dug into what The Word of Faith Movement teaches?I suggest that any one reading this finds out and become aware of what these ministries teach. The choice is yours.
It's about time that MEN OF GOD STAND UP and speak the word of truth in love and through Gods Word find Doctrine and Reproof false teachers and bring Correction so that people are not mislead and bring Instruction in righteousness so that people wiil be aware of what is happening.
I am an ordained Pentecostal minister in Regent Park -St. Jamestown Toronto. And I have a duty as a watchman of the church God has called me to lead. Here are some scriptures to that warn us of the very things we are talking about.
2nd.Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2: And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3: And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
1 Timothy 4:1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1rst Timothy 6:3-11 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4: He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5: Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6: But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7: For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8: And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9: But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11: But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1rst Peter 5:2: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3: Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

Interesting. A man and/or group tries to do something to stem the vicious predation of televangelists on the poor. Would either of you Duncans care to state if this is a good thing or not? So, tell me what you have done that compares to this.
Frankly, it seems to me that your purpose is to say that nothing good can be done by someone you don't like until you personally get a apology, get satisfaction, get a pat on the head, or whatever. Or are you a supporter of televangelists? Maybe you believe it's ok to soak widows and orphans, as long as it's not you personally who are scammed. Sour grapes doesn't begin to describe the patheticness of your position. You say you left a group. How long ago was that? When are you going to get on with your life, so called?
Winston Churchill, when asked if support for Stalin embarrassed him after Hitler invaded said, "If Hitler invaded Hell, I would at least mention the Devil favorably in the House of Commons." Obviously you aren't sufficiently evolved to do that.

Please pass this on to the Copelands please.
Kenneth and Gloria Copeland,
Before knowledge of, KCM, BVOV, GLORIA’S HEALING SCHOOL, and EMIC, our lives were simple, and complete. Before BVOV, faith had no mathematical values, you was never told you had to little, or to much. Before BVOV, sickness was not blamed on lack of faith, nor finances. Before BVOV, rewording, or falsifying bible verses, well, before our knowledge of prosperity gospel (materialistic Christian belief: the doctrine taught in some Christian groups that God will grant wishes to the faithful, especially those wishes involving material wealth .Encarta ® World English Dictionary), this act was unheard of, tithes received during collection were used for the upkeep of our church, parsonage, cemetery, and exedra, the exedra was legit. Before BVOV, I had a mother, faith, finances, piece, and a belief in God I never questioned for there was no reason to. My personal thanks goes out to both you and Gloria, prosperity gospel truly is a life changing experience!
The first time I tried to contact (BVOV) was back in 2004, a few months after the death of my mother (Bonnie Parker) who was a long time partner of your ministry, since 1995 to be exact. That’s a lot of faithful years is it not. And now what began as a simple request for answers over two years ago, is now national news. Though I made many efforts to contact you, none of which were successful. (Mail, Email, , Phone, and even visiting Eagle Mountain Church personally) We were in Dallas for the filming of a documentary (Suffer the Children sufferthechildren.com)which was being funded, and produced by director Trever Glass. The film was to show, from the victims point of view, the tragic abuse, suffering , and fraudulent behaviors preformed by certain mega church ministers, mainly focusing on the prosperity gospel ministers. I was asked if I would like to visit EMIC, and take a tour of the massive facilities. Nervously I said yes. Was I finally going to be given the chance of speaking with either of you? With a copy of the original letter, and pictures of mom before, and after BVOV, tucked safely in our backpack we began the tour that would leave me with even more questions than answers. The tour guide was very nice, and very informative. She had not a clue that with every gloating word she spoke, I was fighting back the tears they were bringing. Were the trophies you have proudly displayed at EMIC, acquired on these trips? Did you pay to have them stuffed, or did the church catch that bill for you? There I was standing in the maculate office, (by the way, how much did that high dollar office furniture set you or the ministry back), of the very people I felt were most responsible for my mothers death. No you didn’t put a gun to her head, but your guidance did prove to seal her fate. I do highly recommend this tour to all your partners that contribute to this lifestyle you both so take advantage of. Nor you or Gloria were present the day we dropped by, but I left the letter, and photos with an employee of EMIC. John Copeland called me a few day’s after we toured EMIC, saying how sad I appeared in the video tapes that were recording our every move during our tour.. I was not sure what to say, a Copeland was on the other end, not the one I was hopping for but a Copeland. There was no way to explain to him the hurt I felt inside that not he but his parents created. The call was short, I basically said no comment, for their were no words to express the feelings I had at that moment! Perhaps the Copelands, Kenneth and Gloria, believed my accusations are unprecedented.. By giving me the chance of showing you in moms written proof I will be happy to reveal you the source of my accusations. Never less, no response lead me to believe neither of you have any remorse for their actions, and that you both must believe they had done no wrong. Personally, I could not live with myself after it was brought to my attention that the mere words coming from my mouth, could indeed cause someone to loose their life. Maybe, hopefully, someday sooner than latter, the dangers related to prosperity gospel will become clear to you both, until then God help us all.
Your problem now is, no longer am I the only one publicly asking for answers, you now have the whole United States of America awaiting to see how this Senate investigation unfolds. In February of this year WFAA News in Dallas broadcasted the findings of an investigation (by Brett Shipp) regarding the misuse of the ministry’s jet. I’m sorry but it is really hard to comprehend you and your wife going on vacation in a jet my mother paid for with her life. Just incase you missed the news broadcast, that was one comment I voiced loud and clear. After that news broadcast aired, I began relying on WWW.WFAA.COM for any new developments, or some kind of comment from anyone at BVOV, EMIC, or either of you personally. The broadcast received the same response that I had come to know all to well over the years, no response, from either of you. Being in the public eye I’m sure has it’s advantages and also disadvantages. You are looked up to by millions of people. It never crossed your minds that a tragedy such as my mom’s was a possibility? You take on a huge responsibility when you get in front of a camera, step onto a stage, and in the recordings of your tapes and cd’s, to each and every one who are watching and listening. Your words can, will , and have, become fatal, the question now is not will it happen again, but when, if your words go unchanged someone’s else’s death is inevitable. As for my family the damage is irreversible. The probe into your finances is long overdue. As for the ones already passed on, the bankrupt, the homeless, and the devastated lives your ministry has destroyed over the years, but it’s better late than never!! I’ve been told by some that my mothers story, and my persistence for the truth, played a part in the investigations into your finances. If so my objective is done. Showing the public the possible consequences in becoming involved with the prosperity gospel was my main objective!!!! As well as taking the tour of your ministries assets, your partners need to read for themselves, (anyone sending money to your ministry) the requests from the Senate related to your finances. I believe they also will have a few questions for you. Oh and the comment you made when caught off guard by the media, WFAA news, (you may view this on there web site), and are questioned about the misuse of the ministry’s jet, your comment was ”None of Your Business”, do either of you have the courage to look me in the eyes and say that to me? The cost we paid for that jet can never be repaid. Expenses that accrued during and after moms illness, left us with no choice but to take out a loan on our house, which was paid in full at the beginning of 2004. This was all to much for us to handle, we have struggled to make the note the last few years, but we can’t last much longer. So we are basically still paying for that jet, and the joyrides both of you take on it. When mom gave her life for your ministry, and now possibly our home will be lost also, I believe that gave us a right to know where the money goes. We did request a accounting of all mom’s contributions, several times, which I have enclosed in this letter, but yet again no response was given. Are either of you, seeing the pattern here? God knows we all, even both of you, make mistakes in life. The difference between both of you and us is plane as day, we know wrong from right!

Christian Beach
P.S.
That letter was written by my daughter, which was nine when mom passed away. When she speaks of listening to your material over and over, it just adds to the
many questions we have that you will not answer.

It's a shame that so many people fall victim to the likes of the Copeland's Bennie Hinn, Joyce Meyer, T.D. Jakes, Paul & Jan Crouch, (who by the way, looks like a Tammi Baker rerun with the makeup and the false tears) and all the others. All people have to do is pick up their Bibles, and read God's word, and they would know that these people are demons of the devil, they are soldiers of Satan. The scriptures are clear, they speak repeatedly of the rising up of false teachers, and these people are them.
They target the elderly, and the poor, they catch people at the most trying times in their lives, they could care less if a family has food, clothing, or shelter, their the scum of the earth, their leeches, but God will deal with them on judgment day, there is going to be a day of answering, God is the avenger of those that have been wronged.

In Loving Memory Of Bonnie Parker,
I’m writing this in regards to the letter written to Kenneth and Gloria Copeland located at http://sis359.blogspot.com/ I wrote the letter with hopes of someone passing it along to the Copelands. Comments the letter has brought is overwhelming. My heart goes out to all who has suffered any type of a loss regarding Prosperity Gospel. Several times over the past few years, I felt that there was not anything I could do, or say that would make any difference in the way people see Prosperity Gospel. I was battling, and still am, a multimillion dollar organization for answers, I had never felt so alone. Now after receiving hundreds of supportive emails, I feel I have a army beside us. Some have requested a more detailed accounting of the last few months mom was with us, the following is merely a forth of the story. Our thanks go out to you all.
Must read testimonies http://intotruth.org/wof/mytest.html
No words could describe just how I felt at that moment. I promised her she would not be left alone, yet here we was in the hospital emergency room lobby, and she was somewhere behind the locked double doors alone. Hour after hour passed , a nurse finally appeared motioning for us to follow her. Seeing the pain in her blue eyes assured me this was no dream, this was it, the moment she knew would come someday but hoped never would. The nurse carefully pulled moms gown back revealing a sight that would be with me the rest of my life. I could hear the doctor asking questions directed to me and my father such as “When did she have a Mastectomy”, and “How long has she been this way?”. My father replied” She hasn’t had any surgery” this answer brought looks of disbelief from the doctor and nurses surrounding us. I realized then exactly they were thinking, they actually thought we denied her medical attention. Their expressions were convicting us without any reasonable doubt. Her left breast was completely eaten away, leaving only a large whole where it used to be. Reality had hit me all at once, our fears were confirmed she was not going to be with us much longer, and we were being blamed for the condition she was in. Mom would not let us bath her even toward the end, she had led us to believe it was due to the weight loss, she didn’t want us seeing her frail body. Truth was she didn’t want us to see her chest. We were escorted back out to the lobby so they could resume their evaluation. Result of each test came back just as we had expected, It was to late nothing medically could be done. The following day’s brought more criticism from the hospital staff, finally I had endured all I could, it was time they knew the truth. I know it was hard to believe we knew nothing about the cancer that had consumed almost her entire body, but that was the truth. And they were going to hear me out no matter how long it would take. I felt most to blame, I was her daughter, I should have seen this coming. But my father, they was not going to direct this blame towards him any longer. Come shift change I walked down to the nurses station where one group were leaving and the other arriving. Asking for a moment of their time, proved easier than I thought. As they began to move closer, I began to take them back in time where I believed it all began. Starting with her right eye in which she had lost the ability to open. This was the first sign something was wrong. Mom insisting day after day it was merely a sinus infection and nothing more. The mention of a doctor was unacceptable, she made that clear. Her eye would remain this way a few day’s then become normal again. Twice more her eye would fail her before closing permanently, refusing medical attention each time. As time passed she began loosing weight rapidly, eating very little, and staying in bed mostly all day. We were fighting a loosing battle and there was no end in sight. She was dieing and there was nothing we could do. Why was she doing this to herself and us? The time came she could no longer stay alone, someone had to be there at her side at all times. My dad worked most every day so mom was with me most all the time. Each day she became weaker. I bought a baby monitor and put by her bed and mine so I could hear her during the night. I dreaded the night for I didn’t know what the morning would bring. I had to get up before my children because if she had passed on I wanted to be the one to find her not them. The fear of her dieing and us not having a clue of what from, or why, was the reality we faced each day. My concern had evolved into anger, she was refusing medical attention and putting us though a living hell, why? There was nothing legally we could do, but watch her die. Once we could legally step in and force her to get in the ambulance waiting outside my door, she was probably only hours away from death. Still refusing and begging not be taken they loaded her in and drove away. I believe she knew she wouldn’t return, deep down we all knew. But there was always that single ray of hope, and no one was going to put that out. We had spent the last few months surrounded by uncertainty, fear, and anger, maybe now at least we would know physically what was wrong. But why she made that fatal decision to refuse any type of medical help was still a mystery. In my eyes she committed suicide, I was going to have to live with that horrible fact. Nothing made since, would it ever? There was not a dry eye in that nurses station that evening after I concluded my memories of the last few months, but in their eyes we were no longer guilty of neglect. Once all the test results were back and we were faced with the fact there was nothing the hospital could do we had at make a decision regarding where to take her to live out what little time she had left. I could not take her back home with me, my kids had been through enough. Southern Oaks nursing home was only five miles from my house, the following two moths this would become our home. The staff took us in as if we were family. We owe the last few months of mom’s life to the staff of Southern Oaks, we will forever be grateful to them all. Mom from this point on had her good day’s and bad. October 19, 2004 she was finally called home. All day her blood pressure had continued to fall, her breathing had became labored, and she was totally unresponsive. Around ten o’clock that night dad told me to go home for a while, I didn’t want to but he and my husband insisted. She passed away a few minutes after I left.
